This year, Manhattanville College was represented by three undergraduate students at the 71st Annual William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition. The Putnam Competition is supported by the Mathematical Association of America and tests practical ability through innovative test problems.

Manhattanville's team was comprised of Quan Hoang, Long Mai and Devin Kapper. This past year the Putnam Competition drew in 4,296 students hailing from 546 colleges and universities located in both the United States and Canada. The contestants were allotted six hours to complete the exam's twelve problems.

The Manhattanville team was extremely successful in this year's competition. Hoang and Mai both placed in the top eight percent and Kapper in the top half. Manhattanville College congratulates Hoang, Mai and Kapper for their exceptional achievements.
