"I want more than anything for David to embrace this opportunity and present his work with the integrity it deserves," Gianelli said. "I want this to open doors for him and to give him the attention he deserves. I want the audience to walk away having seen a performance that made them feel entertained and happy- to have introduced them to a collection of incredible dancers and a kind and talented creator." Giannelli produced and will perform in Some Dance Company: A David Fernandez Celebration. The show will open at 7 p.m. at El Museo del Barrio's El Teatro in New York City. Tickets range from $30 to $100. They can be purchased at http://davidferndance.com/tickets.htm. All proceeds from the performance will go to Career Transition for Dancers.
The performance features dancers from the New York freelance dance community and principals and soloists from leading New York dance companies, including Joaquin De Luz, Chase Finlay, Gonzalo Garcia, Nicole Graniero, Ask La Cour, Savannah Lowery, Luciana Paris, Amar Ramasar and Maria Ricetto with more to be announced.
