On January 7, 2012, Nikhil Kumar, Director of Graduate Admissions, Christian Andrade, Assistant Director of Admissions and Lem Randall, a Manhattanville College graduate student and co-captain of the men's golf team, participated in First Tee of Metropolitan NY's Path to College seminar at Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx. The seminar was meant to help the high school students learn about college admissions and what a competitive college looks for in a qualified applicant.
Randall spoke to the students and their parents about getting into college, playing college golf and balancing being an athlete and student.
The First Tee of Metropolitan NY works to "impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf." The program is support by the First Tee Young Benefactors, a network of active young professionals that help promote awareness throughout the New York Metropolitan area.
The Metropolitan Golf Association also featured the event.
