The Manhattanville Alumni Association hosted its annual pre-walk gathering in front of Reid Castle. More than 200 Manhattanville students volunteered their time from hosting attendee activity tents to greeting and encouraging walkers throughout the day.

"Being a part of the Manhattanville Alumni Team was a great experience because it gave me the opportunity to help with an important cause and to do so side by side with my fellow alumni," said Kathryn McDermott Mattiace ('04), member of the Alumni Board Association. "It is important for our alumni community to continue living the Manhattanville mission and lead by example in our challenge to be socially responsible."

In efforts to continue Manhattanville's mission, "To prepare students, through rigorous academic and co-curricular programs, for ethical and socially-responsible leadership in a global community", both alumni and students alike took part in this event to help celebrate breast cancer survivors, educate women about early detection and prevention, and to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
