Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

Many of our community members have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. We have started the Mville Sandy Relief Fund to help our students, faculty, and staff who are in need. We are accepting donations of cash or check, which will be used to make small grants to members of our community in need. You may send a donation by check or deliver cash to Jose Gonzalez, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, on the second floor of Reid Castle. Your check should be made out to Manhattanville College with "Sandy Relief" on the memo line. It is tax deductible.

Meet the Writers With Nick Flynn

nick-flynn bucketUPDATE 11/8/12: The Meet the Writers program has been rescheduled for December 3, 2012 at 7 p.m.

Nick Flynn, author of The Ticking is the Bomb, will be on campus for the first Meet the Writers reading and discussion of the year. The reading is on December 3 and starts at 7 p.m. in the Ophir Room, Reid Hall. Meet the Writers is hosted by the MFA program and features prominent writers, who come to discuss their art and process with fellow writers and community members.

First Lady Jean Strauss Wins Outstanding Service Provider Award by Adoption Initiative

First Lady of Manhattanville College Jean Strauss was recently awarded the Outstanding Service Provider in Adoption Award at the 7th Biennial Conference on Adoption sponsored by St. John's University Adoption Initiative, in close collaboration with Montclair State University.

Danielle Summons '11 to Compete in Miss New York USA 2013

Growing up in North Carolina, Danielle Summons '11 never thought that some day she would be come close to becoming next Miss USA. Yet, chance and charm has led the Musical Theatre major to the first step in the process. Summons will be competing in the Miss New York USA Pageant 2013 at neighboring Purchase College in January.
