Genevieve Burger-Weiser teaches Academic Writing as well as two freshman seminars in the First Year Program. Her areas of focus include contemporary poetry and human rights, specifically genocide. She has traveled to Rwanda, where she worked at a clinic in Kigali for HIV-infected women who had survived genocidal rape. Her original poetry has been published in Boston Review, Armchair/Shotgun, The Nervous Breakdown, Western Humanities Review, and Washington Square Review.
