Jennifer Alpert, M.A.
MSBM 5004 Sport Marketing
With over 13 years of experience in sports marketing promotions and events management, Ms. Alpert currently manages a variety of special events for a variety of tri-state area non-profit organizations including the John Starks Foundation. Ms. Alpert's sports business career has included overseeing the day to day operations of a minor league sports team franchise and providing marketing and community relations consulting services to an NBA franchise. Ms. Alpert's professional career in sports began with the New York Knicks, where she reported directly to the President and oversaw summer youth basketball programs in New York and Connecticut. She later founded Pro Management Plus, a company that specializes in event management, marketing and promotions for professional athletes and nonprofit organizations in the New York Tri-State area.
Ms. Alpert earned a BA degree from Providence College and an MA in Physical Education and Sports Management from Adelphi University. Prior to joining the Manhattanville College faculty, Ms. Alpert was an adjunct professor at New York University's School of Continuing Education where she taught event marketing.
