Pre-Health Program

The Pre-Health Program seeks to provide students with as many opportunities as possible to fulfill their goal of becoming a healthcare professional.

The Pre-Health Program is not a major itself, but rather a rigorous science and math-based program that can be combined with any major.  Courses required by the program serve as the prerequisites for application to professional schools.  However, additional courses directly related to the chosen profession may also be needed for admission.

All pre-health courses must be completed in a timely manner so that the student is prepared to take the appropriate entrance exam, typically by the end of his/her Junior year.  Therefore, students are strongly advised to take courses in preparation for admission to the particular graduate health profession program in the first semester of their study at Manhattanville.

Students, who do not major in Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry, may declare a minor in Health Sciences or Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Studies.

Manhattanville students should enroll in "Pre-Health1: Pre-Health Professions" on Blackboard to receive information about upcoming events.

In addition to the Pre-Health Program, the following special programs are also available:

DMD at Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine

Doctor of Physical Therapy at NY Medical College

M.S. in Speech Language Pathology at NY Medical College
