Jose R. Gonzalez

Vice President Institutional Advancement

Jose R. Gonzalez is the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. His goal is to strengthen the bonds between the college and its alumni, donors and friends as they work together towards advancing the mission of Manhattanville to educate ethical and socially-responsible leaders. Gonzalez manages the Offices of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving; Development; and Advancement Services, as well as, working closely with many of Manhattanville's alumni, friends, corporate partners and donors, and the Board of Trustees, and the President's Advisory Council.

He has more than 14 years of experience in higher education fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing having worked in both large and small private colleges and universities. Prior to joining Manhattanville College, Gonzalez was the Executive Director for University Alumni Relations and a Major Gifts Officer at Columbia University. While at Columbia, Gonzalez worked on the committee that was charged by the Board of Trustees to create a University-wide alumni association to unite the alumni from all 17 of Columbia's Schools and Colleges and served as the director responsible for four school/college alumni offices. Previously, Gonzalez served as Director of Alumni Relations for Columbia's School of General Studies, as well as, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at Fordham University.

Gonzalez holds two degrees from Fordham University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham College at Rose Hill; and a Master of Science from the Graduate School of Education.
