Academic ScholarshipsWe are pleased to announce that the School of Education is awarding Graduate Scholarships to any incoming graduate student possessing a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.2 or higher and registered for nine credits or more their first semester. Students applying to the School of Education Graduate program may be entitled to one of the following academic scholarships.
Fast StartFor Graduating Seniors Students may NOT combine the Fast Start and Alumni Scholarships. Discount for Religious School EducatorsA 25% tuition discount will be made available to teachers and administrators employed by a religiously-affiliated school accredited by New York State or the federal government. Criteria for Eligibility
To obtain the discount, the student must provide proof of employment from the school's principal on official school letterhead. The letter should be directed to the Graduate Advising office before the student registers. Diversity ScholarshipSeven scholarships will be awarded each year to new applicants from racially/culturally/ethnically diverse backgrounds. These scholarships are intended to support the changing school population needs. One Diversity Scholarship will be available in each of the following programs:
One-third (1/3rd) tuition discount (does not include fees) will be awarded to each of the seven (7) teacher candidates for all courses in a master's degree program. Application Process:

The Mary K. Humphrey Endowed Scholarship in Special EducationThe Mary K. Humphreys Endowed Scholarship in Special Education is an award to students in honor of the memory of Mary K. Humphreys who dedicated her life to the education of children with special needs. She received an undergraduate degree in education and a master's degree in special education from Manhattanville College. To honor her memory, the friends and family of Mary K. Humphreys have established this scholarship for Special Education at Manhattanville College. The successful candidate should demonstrate a passion for and sensitivity to the needs of children with special needs. This candidate should personify the ideals, compassion, and work ethic of Mary K. Humphreys. The candidate will demonstrate perseverance in enriching the quality of life of children. This candidate will be a life-long learner. Criteria for Selection
The Changing Suburbs Institute® and Manhattanville College CollaborativeTeachers from Bedford, Elmsford, Greenburgh 7, New Rochelle, Ossining, Port Chester and White Plains receive 1/3 tuition discount for all courses registered through the School of Education. Jump Start DiscountStudents interested in obtaining certification as math, science or TESOL teachers through our accelerated program, Jump Start, are now eligible for a 30% tuition discount. Discount for Graduates of MAT in Physical EducationGraduates of Manhattanville's MAT in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy progam will receive a 20% discount in they enroll in the Health & Wellness Specialist Advanced Certificate program. Educational Leadership discount for Manhattanville GraduatesGraduates of Manhattanville at either the Bachelor's or Master's level will receive 20% discount for educational leadership programs. Returned Peace Corps VolunteerA 50% tuition discount will be awarded to all RPCV's participating in the Jump Start accelerated teacher education program. Criteria for Eligibility
Teachers in TransitionIn keeping with our commitment to our partners in the educational community, Manhattanville College School of Education is pleased to announce a special initiative to assist teachers who have been affected by the recent lay-offs across our region. We will offer 1/3rd tuition discount for all those interested in taking courses, seeking a new degree, or getting an additional certification to further their credentials and improve their professional marketability.
