On February 26, 2013, Manhattanville College's Doctoral candidates presented a comprehensive School Violence Symposium entitled "Are Our Schools Safe?" Approximately 200 people attended this event. Panelists included: Frederick Dorsey, Attorney, Town of Newtown, CT; Brian Farragher, Executive VP/Chief Operating Officer, ANDRUS; Dr. Kenneth Freeston, Superintendent, North Salem Central School District; Dr. Kenneth Mitchell, Superintendent, South Orangetown Central School District; Joseph Russo, Senior Vice President, T & M Protection Resources; and Michael Sellet, Regional Safety Coordinator, Putnam/Northern BOCES.
