As the Distinguished Lecturer on April 15, 2009, Dr. Denny Taylor spoke on "Creating Caring Communities: Teaching in Times of Economic Crisis and Other Catastrophes." Her presentation included first hand accounts of working in shelters and schools with people displaced by hurricane Karina as well as experiences aiding people on both sides of the Gaza Strip.
