The School of Graduate and Professional Studies Hosts Roundtable Event

Dr. Anthony R. Davidson, The School of Graduate and Professional Studies Dean was joined by former President Leonel Fernández of the Dominican Republic for a roundtable discussion on Regional Development in a Global Context at Manhattanville on October 3. Business leaders of various disciplines came together to discuss Westchester County's strategic advantages, challenges, and opportunities in the global marketplace. Roundtable participants included Marsha Gordon, President and CEO, Westchester Business Council; Larry Gottlieb, Director of Economic Development, Westchester County; Fannie Aleman-Lansch, President, Westchester Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Marissa Brett, Westchester County Association; Natasha Caputo, Director, Westchester County Tourism and Film; Stuart Marwell, CEO, Curtis Instruments; Robert Weisz, CEO, RPW Group; Louis Scamardella, New York State Small Business Development Center. Assemblyman Robert Castelli along with a representative from congresswoman Nita Lowey’s office were also in attendance. Matt Sampson, co-anchor for News 12 Westchester moderated the event.  At the end of day at the reception for the Trustees, Leonel Fernández and Jon Strauss signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on joint-educational ventures.
