Michael ParkinsonMr. Michael Parkinson CIA CISA CRISC is an internal auditor with more than 25 years experience. After 10 years in Information Technology and Government Finance he became an IT internal auditor in the early 1980s. He has worked as a government internal auditor for the last 25 years, the last 15 years as a service provider. Since the publication of AS/NZS 4360 in 1995, this work has included risk management advice and facilitation. While working as a government employee, he was the Chief Audit Executive of three different government agencies. Michael is currently a Director in the government services practice of KPMG Canberra. For some years Michael has served on the Standards Australia OB-007 Risk Management Committee. He is one of the primary contributors to AS HB 158-2010 Delivering Assurance Using AS/NZS ISO 31000 Risk Management and its three predecessor documents. He continues to work on handbooks and risk management related standards within Australia and internationally.
