Jeff Bens, M.F.A.Professor
Jeff Bens is the author of the novel Albert, Himself. His short fiction and essays are widely published. Jeff directs the undergraduate creative writing program at Manhattanville College and is contributing editor for Manhattanville's national literary magazine Inkwell. His short documentary film, Fatman's, has been screened in festivals around the world and on North Carolina PBS. Bens has served on film festival juries around the world including the 2011 Slamdance feature film jury. He was a founding faculty of the School of Filmmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Manhattanville College is located in Purchase, New York on a beautiful 100-acre suburban campus, 10 minutes from downtown White Plains and just 30 miles from New York City. It has an amazingly diverse mix of students from more than 30 states and 50 countries. The College has 1,700 undergraduates and 1,000 graduate students.
