Manhattanville's Graduate Business & Writing Programs Manhattanville grants as many graduate degrees as it does undergraduate degrees. The following business degrees are offered: M.S. in Leadership and Strategic Management, M.S. in Organizational Management and Human Resource Development, M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications, M.S. in International Management, M.S. in Finance, and our M.S. in Sport Business Management. Manhattanville also offers a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership. As noted in a USA Today article, many MBA programs across the country are now trying to revamp their programs –– at the urging of dissatisfied employers –– in order to produce more well-rounded managers who have strong leadership and communication skills. Manhattanville also offers two Master of Arts degrees: The Master of Arts in Writing program is intended for both experienced and aspiring writers who want to explore the craft of writing and improve their skills in fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry while working within a thriving literary community. While our Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program is a 30-credit program designed to fit the needs, schedules and interests of the part-time adult student. Students create an individually structured program based on courses chosen from several disciplines that are relevant to their personal and professional interests. Graduate Education Programs Manhattanville has the largest teacher education program in Westchester County, serving teachers and those who aspire to teach. Our graduates are making a difference in the lives of young people, from Bronxville to the Bronx, from Stamford to Scarsdale, from preschool to high school. Manhattanville's School of Education offers something for everyone interested in any phase of teaching –– beginning teachers (graduate or undergraduate), current teachers seeking masters degrees or additional certificates, seasoned teachers seeking certification as future school leaders or career changers considering teaching for the first time. We offer a wide variety of programs, flexible scheduling, individual attention and affordability. We offer more than 44 areas of certification and are rated as "excellent" in teacher preparation by regional administrators. The school offers a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) and Master of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) as well as several post-master's certification programs. The M.P.S. in Educational Leadership Program is designed to train a new generation of principals and superintendents. Some students choose to attend classes part time, but with Manhattanville's accelerated Jump Start Program, it is possible to begin classes in March and be teaching full time in a high-need school by the following fall.
