____________________________________________________________ Westchester County Government recognized Mville's, Dave Torromeo, with a proclamation for his efforts instituting a sports ethics center at the College. _____________________________________In addition to the current Sport Business Management Master of Science program, several ancillary programs are being developed at Manhattanville such as the Sport Business Institute. The Institute will serve as a networking component that will enhance the experience for students, professors and sports industry executives. An abundance of sport business industry executives live and/or work in Fairfield and Westchester counties and these additional programs will offer various professional services. As part of this philosophy, The Center of Ethics in Sport at Manhattanville (CESAM) has also been created. The CESAM Mission will be to examine the perennial issues and questions confronting the sports industry that impact conduct, character and community and to challenge individuals to maintain the ideal social and spiritual conditions in furthering the cause of athletics. The Sport Business Institute under the auspices of the School of Graduate & Professional Studies is in the creation stage and will offer various networking and public events that support our mission. In addition to the current Sport Business Management program, offering a Master of Science, we are initiating programs to enhance the experience for students, professors and sports industry executives who are not involved with the program. Fairfield and Westchester counties offer a plethora of sport business industry executives who live and work in the vicinity. Several sports industry associates and others who are currently participating in the program as adjunct professors have set out to establish these entities.
CENTER FOR ETHICS IN SPORT AT MANHATTANVILLEAs a component of this institute, we are in the early, yet exciting stages of creating the Center of Ethics in Sport hosted at Manhattanville and John Vorperian, Esq., one of our professors and assistant county attorney in Westchester will serve as coordinator of that group.
