Mary Wu is a 2004 Manhattanville College graduate and a 29-year-old ABC (American-Born Chinese) and two-time kidney transplant recipient from deceased donors, receiving her first transplant at 5-years-old and then her second at 12-years-old. She is known in the organ donation and transplant community as an advocate because Mary is always working to increase education, awareness, and especially registration through public speaking, published articles, and her book that she is working on publishing entitled "Confessions of a Kidney Transplant Recipient"
On Monday, January 2, 2012, she participated as one of the 28 float riders on the "One More Day" themed "Donate Life Float" at the 123rd Rose Bowl Parade that is broadcasted and recognized nationally and annually on New Year's Day across U.S. televisions and homes, thanks to her sponsor UKRO (www.ukrocharity.org). It was a true honor, chance, and especially ride of a lifetime!
