MeganAngley 200x200Megan is a senior who has been involved in the Duchesne Center even before she recently became a Duchesne Scholar this year. Since her freshman year, Megan has participated in service learning trips each year to different nations around the world. She first became involved in the Duchesne Center after planning a trip to volunteer in an orphanage in Grudziadz, Poland during winter break 2008-2009. Since that trip, she has been very involved in various other Duchesne programs especially global citizenship events. She gives credit to Duchesne for helping her realize through service-learning trips that her passion in life is to someday volunteer abroad as a medical provider. She also accredits her service-learning trips to helping her decide on majoring in International Studies. Breaking from her annual tradition of volunteering abroad during school breaks, Megan plans to spend her spring break next semester volunteering at the Romero Center in Camden, New Jersey. Megan believes that her college experience would not have been as rich and exciting if it were not for her involvement with the Duchesne Center.
