I am currently a senior who has been heavily involved in community service since high school, so being a Duchesne Scholar is not only an honor, but a serious commitment for me. I began coordinating Ladies Room my sophomore year with guidance from Craig Donnelly. This program is not only a way to give back to Westchester county, it is a weekly reminder of how much the Manhattanville community truly has and has to give back. Using our beautiful campus, time, and abundance of food to share with these girls in truly a reflection of what this college is supposed to be all about. This program has even lead to my change of biology to a psychology major, in which I feel I can better give back to those more in need than myself. As I enter my last semester in the Spring I take with me the knowledge and experiences I have obtained through my coordination of Ladies Room and other community service projects and lectures I have participated in through the Duchesne Center.
