Being close family friends to the founders of Daniel's Music Foundation, Calvin spent every Monday of his Freshman year traveling to Manhattan to have fun with the young members of DMF. A relationship quickly developed with all of the students being serviced at DMF and he felt a personal connection to the program. As the student coordinator for DMF for his sophomore year, he joined a new group of enthusiastic volunteers and ventured back to Manhattan every week as well as assisting in the Foundation's Winter and Spring Recitals. Unable to continue DMF because of class conflicts, he ventured out into a variety of new programs through the Duchesne Center. He has attended lectures, Midnight Runs, and has increased his role and responsibilities in the Jewish Student Association, even speaking as part of student panel for The Philosophy & Religion Club and MSA's "Modernly Religious" Discussion in November 2010. As current President of JSA, he hopes to form partnerships with clubs that share our concern for raising cultural religious awareness.
