Marina C. Vasarhelyi, M.B.A.

Interim Vice President for Finance

Marina Vasarhelyi joined the Manhattanville staff in April 2011, as the Interim VP of Finance. She acts as a liaison to the Audit and Finance Committees of the Board of Trustees and serves on a number of internal committees, including the Advisory Budget Committee and Strategic Thinking and Institutional Planning. She is responsible for the management of controllership, finance, accounting, budget, payroll, year-end audit activities, cash management, preparing and presenting financial reports, and investments.

Vasarhelyi has significant experience leading financial operations, having served as Controller to the Asia Society. She has also served in Finance at several higher educational institutions. She served as Associate Vice President for Financial Services in the Health Sciences Division at Columbia University, Assistant Treasurer and Controller at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Treasurer and Controller at the New School for Social Research. Prior to these roles, she served as Associate Controller at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Vasarhelyi received her M.B.A., with an emphasis in Finance and Management, from the University of Southern California, and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting from the University of California, Berkeley.
