Patricia Misciagno, Ph.D.

Dr. Patricia Misciagno received her B.A. in Political Science from Purchase College, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from New York University. Dr. Misciagno's work Rethinking Feminist Identification: The Case for De Facto Feminism, (Praegar Press, 1997) has received international recognition and, has become an influential reference that is widely cited. Dr. Misciagno has also published works in Women and Politics, and an article on the media and the modern presidency in the Journal of Political Communication. Dr. Misciagno has been recognized and has received awards from the Manhattanville community for excellence in teaching. Dr. Misciagno has also been the recipient of teaching grants, and has been recognized by the New York State Assembly for her lifelong commitment to education.
