Gillian Greenhill Hannum is Professor of Art History at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York, where she has been on the faculty since 1987. A photo historian with M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from The Pennsylvania State University, she has published widely on photographic topics in the Journal of the Royal Photographic Society, History of Photography and Nineteenth Century, as well as authoring essays for several exhibition catalogues. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and serves on the Board of Directors of The Print Club of New York, Inc. Her teaching areas include American art, Irish art, 19th and 20th century art, in addition to the history of photography.
