Beverly MeyerPiano Accompanist, Musical Theater Beverly Meyer has been at Manhattanville College since 1999, assisting Mark Cherry with Musical Theatre productions, Cabaret Performance Workshop, and The Quintessentials. She also serves as the Musical Theatre coach/accompanist for the Voice students and is Musical Director for the Dance for Musical Theatre class. She has been Musical Director for the Provincetown Children's Theatre at the famed Provincetown Playhouse in New York City, as well as for numerous stock and regional theatres doing such shows as The Fantasticks, 110 in the Shade, Bells are Ringing, Gypsy, Kiss Me Kate and South Pacific. With Mark Cherry, she has assisted on Carousel, Something's Afoot, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Ogunquit Playhouse, the historic Cape Playhouse, and the Westport Country Playhouse, and Baby at the Polka Dot Playhouse. As a performer, Ms. Meyer has created and performed her own cabaret act in NYC, sung for the Kennedy family at the Special Olympics, acted in children's theatre at NYC's Town Hall, and performed with numerous stock and regional theatre companies in a variety of roles including Fanny in Funny Girl, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Luisa in The Fantasticks and Susie in Babes in Arms. Ms. Meyer majored in the theatre at New York University, studied acting with John Strasberg, and voice with Janet Fenholt and Ed Dixon.
