MSMC 5024 Trends in Integrated Marketing Communications
Jonathan Banner started his career at NBC/Westwood One Radio Networks. He was a producer for four syndicated talk radio shows and a long form oldies music show. Mr. Banner's production credits include winning three Bill Board Magazine Awards for "Best Adult Contemporary Radio Show". He has worked in the planning and development side of brand management, eventually becoming the Director of Sales and Marketing for a regionally based pharmaceutical company. Mr. Banner then moved from pharmaceutical marketing to magazines publishing. Mr. Banner held several positions in sales and marketing with two Magazine Publishing Companies which lead to his first online advertising sales position in 1996. Mr. Banner first job on the internet was with a startup web based publishing company focusing on investing. From his first job on the internet Mr. Banner then became a National Sales Manager for the New York Times Company's digital property. In 2000 Mr. Banner became a founding member of Innovation Interactive, a cutting edged, social, contextual and search engine marketing company. Innovation Interactive was bought out in 2005. Mr. Banner became the Digital Director at Source Interlink Media; an Internet and paper publishing company that owns 125 web sites and 90 magazines. In addition to his work experience Mr. Banner has a BA in English Literature with a minor in Communications and an MS in Publishing with an emphasis in New Media, both from NYU University. Mr. Banner has been teaching New Media and Marketing courses at the University level for the last nine years.
