Jay AzzolinaGuitar Since moving to New York in 1981, Jay has been extremely active as a jazz/popular guitarist and music educator. He has played on over 30 recordings and received a Grammy nomination in 1991 for his work with Spyro Gyra. As well as recording four albums as a leader, Jay has toured and recorded with John Patitucci, Chuck Mangione, Michael Urbaniak, Herbie Mann, Jerry Bergonzi, Fred Hersch, Harvie S, Jaco Pastorius and singers Michael Franks, Donna Summer, Rickie Lee Jones and The Manhattan Transfer. As an educator at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels, Jay uses his professional experiences to tailor lessons to meet student's diverse needs and capture their interest and imagination. |
