Yayoi AsomaYayoi Asoma is an artist and educator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She received her BFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design, and her MFA in visual arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. Recent exhibitions include: CUE Art Foundation, New York, NY; The Work Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; Leo Fortuna Gallery, Hudson, NY, The Studio, Armonk, NY; her work has been reviewed in the New York Times. In addition to teaching at Manhattanville College, Asoma is an instructor at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and teaches in NYC public schools through Studio in a School.
