Page 3 of 3 October 2, 2012 Position: Assistant Professor in Mathematics Deparment: Mathematics and Computer Science The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of Manhattanville College invites applicants for the position of full time, tenure track Assistant Professor, to begin Fall 2013 depending on budgetary approval. The selected candidate will teach 21 credits (6 courses) per academic year, teaching both upper-level and introductory courses. All mathematics courses are currently capped at 25 students each. We run a weekly math club, and our Putnam team has ranked in the top 70 over the past 3 years. Please see our department page for an overview of our current course offerings and major requirements. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to be comfortable with the appropriate use of technology in modern pedagogy. The ability to teach courses in computer science or physics is also desirable. Manhattanville is in the process of revising its general education curriculum, and the selected candidate will be expected to participate in this process alongside the rest of the department.
