Manhattanville Mentor Program

The Manhattanville Mentoring Program is designed to provide a peer support system where upperclassmen who have demonstrated a successful career at Manhattanville College can introduce strategies and assistance to interested Freshmen and Sophomores as well as to new transfer students. Mentors meet weekly with their mentees to address areas of academic and social adjustment to college, in general, and Manhattanville, more specifically. Each mentor is compensated, either through Federal Work Study or by receiving Duchesne service hours, receives training, and is fully supervised. At this time we are recruiting Mentors and Mentees for FALL 2010.

Mentors are Juniors or Seniors with a 3.0 semester gpa in the last two consecutive semesters who have shown a healthy amount of campus involvement and are in good judicial standing. Mentors must complete an application and include an unofficial transcript (which can be found on web advisor) and return the completed application to Marisa Sarlo-Passafiume, Director Manhattanville Mentor Program, at sarlopassafiumem@mville.edu.  A committee will review all applications and contact those students who best represent Manhattanville and the mission of the Mentoring Program.
