Meet the Ambassador
Ambassador to the UN from Mali to speak at Manhattanville.

On April 2, at 6:30 PM, Ambassador Cheick Sidi Diarra, Ambassador to the United Nations from Mali, will speak at Manhattanville College in the East Library. He will discuss “Mali – A Landlocked Country in Africa and the World.” A question-and-answer period will follow.
Mr. Diarra has dealt with the United Nations for over a decade. Among his many important contributions, he has been vital in strengthening the global role of the UN in economic and development matters. In addition, the Ambassador has actively assisted in furthering African integration efforts and the African development agenda at the international level. He served as a lead negotiator on these issues at the African Union summits since 1992.
His previous experience and new responsibility of Ambassador will make for a thought-provoking lecture.
