Dr. Ken Tobin

Dr. Ken Tobin, distinguished professor and author, spoke in Reid Castle's West Room on Oct. 10 at 4:20pm on the topic of Learning to Teach in Diverse and Dynamic Classrooms.

Tobin is Presidential Professor of Urban Education at the Graduate Center, City university of New York and author of numerous publications in the areas of science and urban education.

Before he began his career as a teacher educator, Ken taught high school science and mathematics in Austrailia, where he was involved in curriculum design. His research interests are focused on the role of science in urban schools blighted by poverty.

A reception followed the lecture.
