Ambassador of Syria Speaks at Manhattanville College

As part of the continuing “Meet the Ambassador” series at Manhattanvile College, Ambassador Bashar Ja’afari, from the Permanent Mission of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations, will share his views on Syria’s current position on conflicts in the Middle East. His lecture takes place on Thursday, February 21st at 6:30 p.m. at Manhattanville College.
“Our ‘Meet the Ambassador’ program is a great way to help our community understand how different cultures view the world today,” says Richard Berman, President of Manhattanville College. “With a better understanding of each other, we are helping to make the world a little smaller.”

About Ambassador Ja’afari:
Ambassador Ja’afari, the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations, has served as Minister Counselor to the Syrian Embassy in France, the Minister Plenipotentiary and Charge d’ Affaires at the Syrian Embassy in Indonesia, Director of the Department of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Damascus, Syria, and continues to hold the positions of Ambassador Extrodinary and Plenipotentiary at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
