Enrolling in a Blackboard Course
Blackboard is a Web-based, flexible e-Learning software application. Access to Blackboard is through Internet Explorer. The courses are listed in Blackboard in a Course Catalog of available courses.
If You Do Not Have A Blackboard Account
- Start Internet Explorer and type in http://blackboard.mville.edu
- Click the Create Account button
- Fill in the appropriate information (only need to fill in the information labeled with a red asterisk) on the Create New Account page
- Click the Submit button when done
- Click the Courses tab
- Select a department on the Course Catalog list
- Find the listing for the desired course
- Click the Enroll button on the right. If an access code is required, it will have been given in class by the instructor
- Enter the Access Code (given in class) on the Self Enrollment page.
If an access code is not required, go to the next step - Click the Submit button
- Click the OK button on the confirmation page that will appear if the self-enrollment worked.
The Announcement page for the desired course should now be visible.
A User Name and Password must be entered each time Blackboard is accessed. Always click the Logout button when finished.
