  • What types of scholarships does Manhattanville offer?
    Manhattanville offers academic scholarships from $5,500 to $18,000 per year as well as dance, theatre, music, and art awards (based on audition and portfolio review). There are also need-based awards, community service scholarships and leadership awards available.
  • Are internships available?
    Yes. Many of our students participate in internships. Our Center for Career Development is very active and helps every student who is interested in interning find a position to their liking. Manhattanville is also located in a hot bed of corporate America.  PepsiCo, Morgan Stanley, MasterCard, and many others all have corporate headquarters in Purchase.
  • Are AP credits accepted at your school?
    Yes, but we require a score of a 4 or a 5 on the AP test.
  • Do you accept the ACT?
    Yes. We accept both SAT and ACT and will take the higher score if both are submitted.
  • What is your average SAT, ACT, and GPA?
    Last year’s averages were:
     SAT = 1100 (Critical Reading 550, Math 550)
     ACT = 24
     Unweighted GPA = B
  • How many students do you accept each year?
    Approximately 50% of the applicants are accepted each year.
  • Where are you located?

  • How big is your school?
    We have 1,700 full-time undergraduate students among a total enrollment of 2,700 students.  Our students come from 40 states and 76 countries.
  • How many of your students live on campus?
    About 85% of our students live on campus.
  • What is your average class size?
    Our average class size is 17 and our student teacher ratio is 12:1. Over 80% of our classes have less than 20 students.
  • What is the ratio of men to women?
    We are 35% men and 65% women.
  • What Division are you in sports?
    We are a Division III school with 21 sports available for men and women.  Varsity sports include ice hockey, soccer, basketball and lacrosse.  For more information on athletics please visit: Athletics.
  • Can freshman have cars on campus?
    Sure they can have cars on campus. However, they aren’t really necessary since there are convenient mass transportation options as well as our Manhattanville shuttle bus, The Valiant. Click here for Local Transportation and Information.
