Student Accounts

All student accounts receivable balances are due and payable when billed. Accounts are the responsibility of the student and it is therefore incumbent upon the student to see that accounts are kept current. Financial Aid, which is approved and confirmed, may be applied when received. Therefore, a student receiving State grants, Federal Aid or other forms of aid which may not be available at the beginning of the semester, may deduct that amount from the balance due at the beginning of the semester.

  • Accounts must be paid in full (with the exception of student aid as described above) prior to registration. Students who have not made arrangements to pay their accounts prior to the beginning of the semester may not start classes, occupy their residence hall room or access the dining hall under a meal-plan.
  • Students may not pre-register for the following semester if their account is not current at the time of pre-registration.
  • Students will not be allowed to participate in the residence hall room lottery if their accounts are not current.
  • Graduating students will not be allowed to participate in Commencement ceremonies without making arrangements to have their account paid in full by that time. Any payment made within two weeks of Commencement must be made by cash, credit card, or certified check.
  • Official and unofficial transcripts and/or diplomas will not be available to students with unpaid account balances.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid should be submitted to the Federal Processor every year. It is strongly recommended that continuing students do so by March 1st in order to meet deadlines for campus-based aid. Requests for additional documentation should be responded to promptly in order to avoid delays in the processing of aid. Students should remit a signed copy of their award letter and submit a Stafford loan application prior to their fall enrollment date. Failure to comply with these Financial Aid requirements will result in a student's account being considered not current and the student will be liable for outstanding amounts.

Graduating Students

Graduating students must complete all final Financial Aid arrangements (loan applications, etc.) no later than March 1. Compliance with this requirement is necessary to insure all accounts are paid in full prior to Commencement.
