IV. Manhattanville College Code of Community Conduct


Disclosure

a. All candidates applying for Cooperative Program overseas study, or the New York City Program must be in good standing and not in violation of the College Code.

b. It is the requirement of the candidate to disclose a statement explaining any past or current violations of the College Code.

c. Failure of any candidate to provide full disclosure of a violation of the College Code of Conduct will result in forfeiture of any favorable decision rendered by the Study Abroad Committee.

Step 1: For Manhattanville approval, the application packet must include the following:

a) Application for Approved Study Off-Campus (form)

b) A written essay (see separate Essay page)

c) Letters of recommendation:

1st: required recommendation from major department chair, indicating the effect of the off-campus study on completion of the major.

2nd: recommendation from another faculty member (preferably your advisor)

3rd: (optional) recommendation from a non-faculty member.

d) General Study Plan and Major/Minor Checklist from the Portfolio

The above forms are available in the Study Abroad Office, or here on line. Follow the links. Completed applications must be received by the Study Abroad Office, Founders G7 no later than February 23.

Step 2: For acceptance to the host institution abroad, applicants must:

a) complete the required application.

b) apply for an official transcript from the Manhattanville Registrar.

c) obtain the required letters of recommendation.

d) submit the required medical forms (both the program’s and Manhattanville’s).

e) submit other documentation (photos, etc.) required by the program.
