The Academic Resource Center offers support in basic science courses by means of Supplemental Instruction, tutoring, and skills courses attached to existing core curriculum courses. In the fall of 2008, the following are available.
CSK 1001 Scientific Methods of Inquiry
Wednesday 3:30-5:30 in Library G17, taught by Mrs. Enjoli Joseph. This is a 1-credit course accompanying Principles of Biology I, in which students learn study strategies and problem-solving techniques in the discipline of Biology. SI sessions in Science
SI sessions in science are announced on the SI schedule.
Come to sessions prepared with class notes, problems to be solved, and questions you may have about the material. The Supplemental Instructor attends all meetings of the class and holds weekly review sessions based on the lectures. Your SI leader should announce the time and place of the sessions during the first two weeks of the course. For further information on SI sessions, contact Beth Fonfrias at 323-5241.
